Fractions and Decimals on the Number Line Sorting Activities
Interactive, hands-on practice is a great way for students to understand fractions and decimals on a number line. Use these engaging sorting activities in math stations, for review games, and even as assessments during a fractions/decimals unit or anytime during the year!
Students can also use these sorting cards to practice comparing and ordering fractions and decimals as well as finding equivalent fractions/decimals. You can also combine different sets to make it more challenging!
SEVEN different sets are included:
fractions (halves, thirds, fourths, fifths, and tenths; only the endpoints are labeled)
fractions (eighths, tenths, and twelfths)
mixed numbers (between 1 and 2)
decimals (tenths, quarters, and whole numbers; only the endpoints are labeled)
decimals (tenths and hundredths)
fractions and decimals (more challenging)
Each sorting activity includes:
printer-friendly set of sorting cards
student worksheet (students can glue the cards on this after sorting)
Laminate the sorts for long-term use or copy for students to save and refer back to all year long!
